(This is a picture of me and the kids at Oceanside, California last January 2008 - I'm just wishing we could zap ourselves and go TODAY!)I'm just wondering if I am the only one LOVING the sunshine we have been receiving? Just for the record I have been wearing my long lost loves...flip flops! Yes, I have. Even if it is 40 degrees outside. I don't care! The sun is shining and I'm just counting down the weeks till I get to go to California and soak in the sun. So you probably figured out why I changed my blog from winter snow flakes to palm trees and sunshine!! I can't wait.
I wish I took a picture today of Alayna. She dressed her self with short shorts on, a tee shirt, flip flops and her sunglasses. She said, "Mom, I can't wait to wear this in the summer again!" We are ready for Summer!! I even let her wear them outside to walk up the street to her friends house. She thought it was the best. Hey, the sun was shining and she said, "Mom, we love the sunshine!" I couldn't agree with her more. She and I are meant to wear flip flops, ALWAYS.
Another "summer" moment, Jared and I were at the mall (I know! WHY? Another story.) And in a store they had a huge number countdown that said, "How many days till Summer..." Jared said, "I bet your excited, look only 14 days till summer!" I let out a huge, YEAH! But then to see the other "1" was turned sideways to make it 114 days till summer. Talk about depressing!!

Amen on the love for SUN! I am actually shocked that I am excited to move back to Utah for that very reason. My whole life growing up in Utah I would say that I was meant to grow up in California. Now that we live here I wear flip flops anytime I can get away with it, which means the only time I don't is work and church. I am excited for you guys to come down to Cali, it has been so warm this week. we have had the sana ana winds which are really warm and it has left us with beautiful 80 degree weather. It has been warm and sunny blue skies. Love it. By the way, thank you for your prayers. I hope all is going well in your pregnancy, even though you are in denial.
