Updates and Summer Fun

So earlier I posted a picture of my project...well this is the newly painted laundry room and decor. I switched all the old stuff around and will be finishing it by putting some cute pictures in the frames. I love the color (thanks to Emily - the greatest paint lady around!)

A little decor.

An awesome new cork board for the kids to put all their art work and job charts from school.  Waiting to hang it still.

The new mirror that will hang above the sink...still waiting for it to hang.
So, out with the old bed...We upgraded to a king. So we sold our Queen frame and mattress. We purchased an awesome new king mattress and for weeks with the mattress on the ground. If you know me well, you know that I make my bed EVERYDAY. It honestly has to be made, I feel like life is too messy if it's not clean...It's pretty much the ONLY thing that is cleaned the way it should on a daily basis. Anyways, for weeks, I searched on KSL and at RCWilley Outlet to find our same bed but the king size. I kept waiting...waiting..

Until I finally had had it...I couldn't stand not having my bed made and not on the ground. Because on the ground it meant the boys could JUMP and play all day long in my room...which is totally off limits. Anyways, one date night Jared and I stop off at RCWilley and find this darling white headboard on clearance. It was super cute. I thought I could mix things up...Well, Our once super tall bed filled our bedroom perfectly. We brought this white one in and it dwarfed the whole room. It didn't match great, so I figured, Oh, well I'll sale it on KSL when I find our black bed...So just my luck what happens after ONE week of owning the white bed...You guessed it...KSL. I bought it (great deal!) we totally scored and we have our complete bedroom set once again! AHHH finally I can relax with my favorite bed.

I still love it. After trying to have a different one, I realized I still LOVE this bed!

Silly chubby baby with daddy.

Alayna and her darling little girly friends wanted to have a "girls night out" so I decided to host them at our house. These cute girls planned the whole thing...pj's, pizza, popcorn, treats, a movie. You name it they did it! We had such a great time.

Alayna's welcome sign! Love the spelling. "Welcome to the Partey - Ring the Dore bell and noke!"

Eating some good ole Little Caesars

Cute girls

This sweet girl on the bottom left came up to me during the party and said, "Is there anything I can help you with?" Um HELLO how sweet is she! I adore these girls. They are so sweet and honestly a riot to spend time with. I loved having them over!

This is Alayna and Avery. Avery is moving in a few weeks and we are SO sad they are not being just two doors down any longer. We just love this girl.

So the girls colored cards for Avery to tell them how much they will miss her!

Watching Lorax...(It's a little different)

See how there are a few boys in the picture...Well, let's just say that Alayna honestly used phrases like, "Well, my friends and I said their can't be boys! Not even my brothers! This is horrible! This is bad, the boys will ruin the WHOLE night!" Oh, my little Miss Drama Queen got the quick reality that her brothers are welcome (and boy cousins) to anything! And just for the record they didn't ruin the night. The girls just played on and didn't even care.

All the girlies.

Cute little girls. We are so lucky to have so many cute good girls living so close to us.

Lagoon Day

Work Lagoon day finally arrived! The kids have been looking forward to going to Lagoon for months! Thanks to a great company (RPT) we were able to enjoy such a fun day with the monkies. Also a big thanks to my parents who so kindly agreed to watch Ben at home so we could enjoy the park baby free! It was awesome!! Even though all day I was nervous I had left him in the car, or stranded while we were on a ride..so besides the fear of leaving the kid somewhere, we had a great time! Oh, and not to mention we literally melted away! It was over 100 degrees and we were TOASTY hot ALL DAY LONG!

Kiddie rides

Caleb LOVED all the car rides.

Egg Crack Ride -  as Caleb called it!

This is Alayna's "I'm way too scared to ride any rides face!"

Lovin the baby boat ride because he was the only one that could ride it!

He's the winner! He rode the scariest rides..Way to go Jake!

Bring on the ice cream...we were SO hot!

Where should we go next?

Finally after MANY tears, kicking, screaming and a few threatenings that sounded like..."We are totally never bringing you anywhere ever again, no Disneyland, Lagoon, you name it you will stay home if you don't go on a ride!" So we forced her and what do you know....SHE LOVED IT! She did regret not trying any of the "big people scary rides" as she called them.

Caleb is really enjoying being up so high...I on the other hand was a tad nervous he's jump out...but he was super obedient.

To end the night we let the kids be "SUPER FUN" and run through the fountains.

My childhood memory...buying cotton candy on the way home from Lagoon. So of course the tradition lived on!

Soaking wet Jake. Funny story. So our last ride of the night was the baby kiddie bumper cars. Caleb was SO excited all day to finally go on them. Well, the line was long, and we waited. Well, Jake was doing the classic potty dance. I told him if we take him he would miss the ride. He didn't like that so he said he could wait....on went the dancing...then the ride came and ended in about 10 seconds. So worth the wait (sarcasm) Anyways, I tell Jake after we have walked away from the ride, "Let's go potty now"...He looks up at me...pauses...looks down. Well, pretty much he left a puddle for the next kid to pick the BLUE baby kiddie bumper car...Which is the real reason why we decided to let the kids get wet. We needed to wash them off, clean off Jake and then get to the van and change them into all their clean dry extra clothes we had packed! Pretty much is was a really great day!

July/August...coming and goings...

Seriously, I have so much catching up to do...so let's get started. Back in JULY... Jared and I have had tickets to see Wicked for about a year now. We've been looking forward to going and seeing this great play for a year now, and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Well, with girls camp over and finished I was finally ready to enjoy this super FUN date! We had a baby sitter all lined up and everything. We planned dinner, dessert and then the show...Oh, so excited!

This is my heavenly favorite dessert. Once I shared it with a friend and now I haven't been able to not be down town salt lake and not get it! Yum. It's from the Thaifoon restaurant in Gateway, their chocolate lava cake. YUM.

Do you see the anticipation...Yeah, I'm bursting!

Ok. So the funny part is coming...yeah, we were ONE DAY EARLY! Yeah, so we pretty much lucked out and got two dates. It wasn't for thursday our tickets were for friday. Ha, we were laughing. The other FUNNY part to this Wicked story is that I had purchased the cd from amazon and apparently I had uploaded all the GERMAN Wicked songs. So for weeks I've been totally confused by all the "witch" language. It wasn't until we were at dinner the (wrong) Wicked night, and I was on the phone with my sister saying, "Are you sure I'm going to understand all the witch language? I mean is this even in English?" Yeah, she busted up laughing! So THANKFULLY I had one more day to select the English songs and listen to them...Yeah, I pretty much LOVED them the moment I heard them all in English! I'm totally in love now.

Silly baby, loving his new carseat box.

A little girl friend time. Alayna is totally spoiled when it comes to friends. We live in a neighborhood where there are 9 girls in the 2nd grade. Seriously, she is so lucky. They ALL love being girls and being together!

Yeah, so here we are on night TWO! I finally LOVED it!!! LOVED IT even in English!!!

These are the two cute kids that come home from school everyday together! Seriously, so cute.

Alayna said to me the other day..."Mom, did you know I walk by Jake's class two times a day? And did you know he's always there where he's supposed to be!" I even over heard her telling Jake, "Do you need me to say hi to you each time I walk past your class? Jake said, "No." Then Alayna said with all the drama possible.."Mom, Jake doesn't need me to say hi to him, that really makes me sad!!"  Then a few seconds later Jake said..."Alayna, you can if YOU want too." Oh, she's very protective and LOVES being the older sister looking out for him.

I love seeing them be such good friends together.

A little mini-family reunion with the Barainca cousins.

Jared's two grandmothers. Lavon (Randy - Jared's Dad's mother) and Denice (Jacqui - Jared's Mothers mother)

Some girl cousins.

Aunt Wendy, Aunt Janet, Grandma Denice (Jacqui's sisters and mother)

Suker Grandparents

Yes, Ben getting into all the plants...AHHHHHH I have a baby who moves, crawls, stands, etc.

My newest project...updating and cleaning and painting my laundry room! Yeah, baby!!!

Our weekly entertainment it seems like...yet again another FIRE.

The kids love it.
