We stayed for a live reptile show where Alayna and the other kids were able to touch, a lizard, a turtle, some snake skin stuff and last of all a real snake! I was expecting Alayna to be a little hesitant but each time she stuck out her one finger to pet the reptiles. Way to go. I can say that I touched the turtle. That's huge for me!
I had to post this picture because this shows Alayna is my daughter. During the reptile show they asked for volunteers. A few of the other grand kids shied away from the idea, but not Alayna she walked herself right up there in front of the group as if it was no big deal! My mom leaned over, "We know who's daughter she is!" I've never had a problem with being in front of groups so luckily I've passed on one good trait.
Following the museum we went to the Creamery on 9th for the cheap food and ice cream. The only way to describe our out to eat experience was a claustrophobic nightmare with way too many kids in a very small confined space and too many messes to mention, our food was good and we had too much ice cream to go around! I had to post this picture of Jacob's "angry eyes" as we call them, because he's becoming a little too good at showing us what he's really thinking about the idea! Thanks again Mom for continuing to educate us and our children. I realized that I was getting a tad bored because I wasn't reading the information under each animal. Alayna came up and asked me a question about one of the animals, I told her I didn't know...she then said, "Did you read the sign like Grandma Lou does?" I had to laugh, I said, "No, I haven't yet!" She said, "You need to so you can tell me!" Isn't that the truth. I guess my Mom has passed on a valuable lesson to my daughter...reading gives you all the information you will ever need to know! THANKS MOM & DAD it was another fun family filled day.
