The Lonestar State - Part 4

The boys by the end of the week became great friends. Benny loved Mikey's bouncy seat and Mikey loved watching Ben jump around. it really was darling to watch them interact with each other.

So if we were not eating at a local food joint we were enjoying a little bbq of our own. YUM.  This is something Ashley and I share in common. We both love to cook. So this is always something we have fun doing together...spending time in the kitchen making yummy food. So that's what we did...make some good old food!

So, Caleb pretty much likes to be active and cause trouble. Seriously, doesn't that face just say..."I'm not being naughty...really I'm not!" Oh, but if you look closely to Mikey's face he pretty much was teasing him...Sad Mikey.

Yeah, I think any kid would cry. Let' just hope Mikey is taking notes and learning what he can do to his next sibling! Don't worry we saved Mikey!!

Another great food find. Yeah, so Jared and I are pretty much foodies if you will. Jared researched on urban spoon some great places to eat. It was delish.

And huge pizza slices. Yum.

One last lunch stop before we fly away to Utah. Thankfully Ashley and I share something in common...good food. (Do you sense a theme here from this trip...yummy delicious food!). Anyways, it was so good. I'm totally craving and ticked at the same time that the Verde Salsa they had is no where near me...I'm $400 away from every tasting it again too...Oh, it's so spicy and GOOD. Yum. Anyways, I just adore Ashley. She is hands down the best sister in law out there. Seriously, she's still smiling after enduring a long week of my four kids attacking her little baby boy. Anyways, she's fabulous. I love you Ash and I'm SO happy we were able to have so much time together, whether we were cooking, cleaning, playing or swimming. You are the best host and mom around. Thank you really, to both Brian and Ashley! THANK YOU!!!

Okay, on our way out...to prove it's BLUE sky. We took this last photo because I didn't want to forget this darling little tradition the kids got into...they would yell each time we drove around the state of Texas and yell..."American flag and Texas flag!" It was so fun that the kids noticed and it really is so wonderful how patriotic all Texans are...Flags are flying every where!!!
