When my mother used to say..."I just don't know what you do with a boy." I'm finally learning what she is talking about. Let's just say having one girl first and then a little boy I am learning and experiencing first hand the differences. Now, I understand each child is different but my two children couldn't be more different. Since we have lived in the same house since both children were mobile, I feel I have a good memory of how "child proofing" has gone.
This little boy of ours is one little climber. I know I have posted pictures of him in the past climbing on really pretty much every flat surface imaginable. But today he reached a new level. He hauled over his little chair that is his "right hand partner in crime" to his high chair. He some how finagled his way to the top of the tray. Safe? I don't think so. How many times does the tray accidentally just snap off...too many times for me to think this is a bright idea. I had to take a picture. I can't forget how this little guy managed to reach any height in life! (I have had to resort to locking all the chairs away in a room so he can't climb up too high!) If your wondering what he's doing in this picture, it's him showing me his muscles because, yes he ate his dinner!

I love that little man! I will definitely be calling you in a few years when I have "mom" questions :)
Diana, that is soooo scary!!! He does come by climbing on high chairs naturally though, because I do remember you (being the third little girl) were the first daughter to climb on top of your high chair!! Remember how I used to say you must have "boy genes"? Good luck to both of you!!! Love, Mom
It seems like yesterday when I had to put all of the chais on the table to help limit the climbing. But watch out - somehow they manage to climb on washing machines without help and other places!
I remember asking Ben's doctor, "What am I supposed to do put all the chairs in my house into storage???" I decided that wasn't going to happen so I just let me fall a couple of times. I would say this, "Bye, bye high chair." I decided the high chair was gone for this very reason too. HE just kept climbing on it and let's face it a chair IS safer than a high chair! lol
