More March Happenings...

Seriously, my kids are the cutest. I can't say that I enjoy this table being so messy all of the time. But needless to say they are generally actively engaged in something creative and fun.

Calebs newest found "calming" activity. To say he LOVES to color is a major understatement. As long as we can keep Ben away from the crayons...Ben loves to eat them!

Alayna has been blessed with about 8 little girl friends that live up and down the streets of our neighborhood. One by one they have turned 8 and have counted down the BIG day till their baptisms. It's been so fun to watch her be so excited for them. She gave Ashlyn this little purse to celebrate her big #8 birthday!

Alayna is the NEXT one to turn 8 and to be baptized! Finally it's her turn!!

Oh, the glimpse of WARM weather. I love that the FIRST day of SUN and WARMTH my kids find themselves with other CHILDREN and being outside...Oh, I love warm weather!

Ok. Here goes a regular question asked to Caleb on Sunday..."Caleb, what church movie would you like to watch?" He always answers with a "tough" low voice..."A fighting one of course! I love them!" I'm sure we should be worried, but until then he's adorable....

I'll have you know he considers himself "A Good Guy!" And helping the "Captain of the Good Team", (Jesus Christ) because the "Captain of the Bad Team" is (Satan)

In action....

He really is so fun!

Meet Ben's favorite toy for the afternoon. Caleb brought home a balloon from preschool and Ben quickly took a liking too it!

He wouldn't let go of it. And carried it EVERYWHERE!

He lost it once and went running towards it again.

Nothing better than a snuggle with a Captain Hook toy and a balloon.

Oh, the love for a dangerous balloon!
We are just waiting and waiting for the warm weather to stay longer and longer! We love you sunshine...

Life around here...

I know it's been about a month since I've blogged last. But life as usual normally doesn't put blogging at the top of my list. So here is a quick over view of what we've been up too.

Playing some indoor football with cousin Olivia. They were so fun to watch. Seriously, each of my kids "football poses" were hilarious.

Sweet Ben. Oh, so sweet, MESSY Ben.

Hip Hip Hooray...Jake has been to school for 100 days. (It was something he's really looked forward too.

My Caleb is growing up. In this picture he looks like a boy, and not my toddler boy anymore.

Meet tantrum throwing Ben. Yes, he throws his head onto the tile floor.

He loves being messy and eating all by himself.

Still so cute!

My kids newest favorite toy the cousins own.

Ben loves to RUN to the shower before Alayna or the boys hop in. Seriously, I can't tell you how many times we find him in there....This particular day Alayna said, "Mom you need to get your camera, Ben is adorable. You can't be mad at him because he's so cute!" She was right, I needed to document this cute event.

Digging in the pantry...only means more messes! I found OATS everywhere and his diaper was filled with dry oats. It was really funny.

Ok. This is the funniest thing yet. Honestly I think my kids are a tad intrigued with homeless people. I came out of my room one morning to find this imaginative play. I literally couldn't hold in my laughter. It was awesome.

"I'm Homeless Please help! I'm Pour! Help!"

She does look fairly destitute I think.

I didn't even ask her to pose. She was in full on acting mode. The funny thing they were doing was each kid would take a turn being the homeless person and then the other would be the people with money or food. So they would walk by them giving them food or clothing. They role played for the longest time, over and over again. Then at one point my dad came by and saw them. It nearly wigged him out. The kids were begging for food or money and holding their sign. My dad said, "I'll give you something!" He pulled Jake up to a standing position and told him while dragging him outside, "Get up and go get a job! You think you can get things for free, go work, earn money and earn your way in life!" It was an awesome memory. Jake returned from being thrown outside and said to Alayna. "Let's pretend that didn't even happen, because I like being given stuff for free!" Funny creative kids.

He is always thirsty.

He ALWAYS has the best morning hair. Seriously look at that volume!

These are my favorite moments to find the kids LOVING each other. They were all cold one morning and wanted to snuggle. Love these few moments.

The kids favorite place to be. It's always a mess, but they couldn't be happier. Some pretty great art work and creative things are created here, and hours and hours of play. Jake the other day told me. "Mom, can this table just be the family table and not one of your "decoration" tables. Because we really like to color and do puzzles on it. And I don't want to move your decorations off of it anymore!" I agreed that my centerpiece and decorations could leave...I reminded myself there is a time and season for everything. The time is now to fill this table with crayons and craft projects! I'm happy when they are happy and keeping their messes contained!

Ballet

Here are some pictures I finally found in my picture files from months ago...Alayna posing for the camera in her ballet clothes. She's been taking since November and she LOVES it.

She really looks forward to going twice a week. It's been fun to have something to get us out of the house, make me a tad more organized with dinners, and kids. I think my favorite thing of ballet is how confident Alayna is. She doesn't know anyone from her class. This studio isn't close to our home so we travel a few miles and the girls there attend a different school. So I have to be totally honest she has been so brave when it comes to breaking out of her shell and feeling comfortable. Not only did she come into ballet a few months later than the other girls, which means she didn't really understand what to do. But also not having a buddy as support it's been a real growing experience for her. I really enjoy watching her be pushed in uncomfortable situations. For some reasons as an adult I find this is SO good for her self esteem and her confidence. I have loved watching her blossom and become more willing to try new things. We have loved the studio and our experience so far. Here comes ballet tomorrow!!!

California Fun in the Sun

Happy Valentines Party! Thanks to Aunt Krista to planning such a fun kid party. The kids were in heaven. Alayna has always been off-track at school over Valentines day so she said, "I love this party. It's my very FIRST Valentines Day party ever!" So as you can see the kids were loving each and every game. The adults later that night played a fun Newlywed game.

Seriously...we soaked in the sun non-stop for 10 days!

Sometimes Caleb had a little too much swimming. So he'd find his sock (I know...it's so obnoxious!) and he'd snuggle on up in a "towel bed" and get some rest.

Seriously, this is a WET sock. This habit drives me batty. But despite what we try to do to stop him he manages to find a sock somewhere. Anyways, I'm sure when he's 20 he won't have this habit so in that many years I'll cherish these sock pictures.

Randy & Mary enjoying the shade and beautiful warm weather.

The lazy river is a favorite of us all.

The family that attended this year!

Papi and I giving some good tickles to Caleb.

Loving my boys.

My cute three kids. Seriously where does the time go. They are getting so OLD.

Silly Jake and adorable sweet Kennady.

Night swimming. This was a favorite highlight of the kids this trip.

Cousin Mikey and Aunt Ashley from Texas made it down to Indio for a few days. WE LOVED SEEING THEM!!!

So sad they were leaving us so soon!!!

Baby Ben...

Taste Test 2013 - Nacho Cheese Sauce - Tostino's was the winner.

The kids LOVING the hot tubs!

Sweet baby

Oh, I could just squeeze him all the day long!

Crazy Caleb.
