Here is Alayna singing a few Halloween songs and reciting a few poems.
What a cute little witch! Then after the parents were there for a few short minutes we were kicked out so they could have a SUPER fun Halloween party!

My adorable CHUBBY baby! Why is it so cute when they have all those rolls around their tummy?
He ended up with Suker feet...look how crooked all of his toes are!He was starting to get tired and we happened to put in on his tummy with his hands by his mouth and he instantly stuck his thumb in his mouth...we had to take a picture to say yes you sucked your thumb!! (AHH - I have yet to think it's cute yet!)
Thank heavens for little babies that save the day. Yes, it was a BUSY day which generally turns to a bad day...I think mothering is catching up with me...but it ended great because my super chubby baby Caleb gave me kisses.
Enjoy!
Well , we were about one week late from seeing all the beautiful leaves on the TREES. But nonetheless we were able to see a few...but they were all on the GROUND. For what it was worth the children had a great time. I say kids had a good time because I was doing great until I started reading a recipe book on the way down the canyon and I got MAJOR car sick! UGH...I was quickly reminded why I don't READ in the car...Anyways...We just went up Butterfield Canyon just up from our house. Next year we need to go a little sooner! We were able to spot TONS of deer and that is ALWAYS fun for the kiddos.
We happened to pull off the side of the road and Jared found a swing hanging from the tree. So Alayna was in heaven!
Jake didn't want anything to do with hanging from a tree.
This was one happy kid waiting patiently for us in the car.
Let me introduce you to my life...Yes, these children have become my life. It's strange to think about that Jared and I are responsible for these three little miracles. Miracles yes because they truly are gifts that we have been given. I also normally refer to them as monkeys because that's what they are...jumping, running, rolling, squealing from here to there. There are very little quiet moments in the house or in the car, but somehow I am still taken back by the joy I have for them. Each one holds a special place in my heart. This post might be a tad...weepy for me, but I've had a few thoughts on my mind. I love my kids. I love my husband and I have much to be grateful for. Am I the only one that has to remind myself that doing laundry is a blessing...Really? I am trying to remember those moments when it literally takes hour after hour to fold, hang, wash, smell, so many different clothes. AH...it doesn't make me look forward to tomorrow, because another batch is coming my way.
Along with the laundry there are the diapers...Yes, those fabulous smelly diapers. But how can you resist changing all these diapers when they are accompanied with the giggles and smiles that come from such a cute chubby baby? It's pretty impossible to not enjoy such an activity.
...and after rice cereal! Yes, he's just that age. So let the messy face begin. Let's just say, he has no idea what he's doing!
Anyways, here she is showing off her first day of school. She is VERY proud of her hair and how long it is becoming. So she is loving showing off her "long flowing hair" with her cute head bands. She has specifically told me that she will not allow me to cut it until she's in Kindergarten. We shall see!
Okay, so this was the official first day with out mom. The first day I was able to go with her to see the classroom, paper work, meet the teachers, etc. So this day was our first drop off. It was hilarious. I am not a very sentimental mom. Sad but true, I delight in Alayna's excitement and I know she WON'T miss me so there is no need to shed tears. So on this day I she was SUPER excited and couldn't help but do everything I asked for her so she could arrive on time and be with her teacher and friends.
So this is how it happened. I pulled up to just let her run on in. I saw another mom with a camera. I thought, "Oh, I will take a picture of her going in..." I get out and let Alayna out of the car. She was standing observing all the other kids with their mom. I video taped her a little asking her where she was going, etc. Then I gave her a quick hug and off she went. At what point she was watching another little girl who was "weepy" saying, "Goodbye Mommy, I will miss you..." Alayna glanced up at me and said kind of awkwardly, like that's what the kid is supposed to do..."Mom, goodbye?" It was so FUNNY, I could just read her. She was thinking she had to say she would miss me but she new she wouldn't. So I told her, "Have a great time!" And off she went practically skipping with joy. I continued to follow her wanting to take a quick picture and she immediately stopped in her tracks and turned around looking at me, "Mom, you don't come with me today that was just yesterday. Today is just for kids NOT moms!" At that point I got the hint. She was ready to go with out her mommy! I did continue to follow her in after I clearly explained that I was going to leave her alone. Either way she had a great time and was just beaming all day long.
